LM4562 Inversion

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TAS5630B

I'm using a LM4562ma in an inverting amplifer configuration with power supplies at +/- 12V inputs <=200mV and the output stays in phase with the input even though it is setup as an inverting amplifer (gain~ (-)40.  The input is at a frequency of about 1 KHz.  Does anyone have any ideas why the phase might be reversed from what is expected?

    Hi, Carl,

    Welcome to e2e, and thanks for your interest in our products.

    I suspect there is an error in the d/s somewhere which makes the inversion you see.

    BTW, this device is marked "Obsolete" which means we don't sell them any more. I guess you have some laying around or something?

    An alternate might be TAS5630B.

    Hi Don,

     

    Thanks for the reply,  I just double checked an the Status I see on the webpage is 'Active' (LM4562MA/NOPB).  I don't believe this is a D/S issue.  Is there any chnace it has to do with power supply sequencing?
