CC8520 + CC2590 FCC compliance

I'm working on a wireless system using the PurePath parts CC8420 and CC2590 and have had the luxury of being able to use the sample layout and antennas.

I know that these parts are suited for compliance for FCC CFR47 Part 15. How much do I have to worry about FCC compliance?

Is it possible to declare conformity, or do I need verification?

Any direction or reference on this subject would help.

Hi Justin,

With FCC you always have to take your actual product to a certified test house and perform the tests to prove that you are within the requirements. This applies no matter how closely you have followed the reference design.

You can look at the FCC test report for CC85xx-CC2590EM to get a feel for the required documentation and tests.
