Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPA2006D1
I have a design using a TPA2006D1 amplifier. I am using it in a 2 input single ended mode that is described on page 14 of the data sheet "Summing two single-ended input signals". My problem is I am getting no output on the Vo+ and Vo- pins of the chip. The shutdown pin is tied to ground (although I have tried both high and low values on that pin with exact same results). The inputs are driven by DACs on an MSP430 micro controller. (For this initial work, I am only driving one of the inputs with a wave and the other is driven low out of the DAC.) I can see a nice looking sine wave running at about 1 KHz on the input side of the capacitor. The opposite side of the capacitor is slightly reduced but still a good sine wave. The IN- pin still has a nice sine wave, although it is reduced by about 50% (which is expected, I believe). The output pins do not have any visible signal on them. My speaker is a 4 ohm speaker and I have tried it with the speaker and without the speaker. The TPA2006D1 is connected to a 5V supply and the inputs are driven by a 3.3V range. Does anyone have any idea of what is going on or other things to try? Has anyone else had similar issues bringing up the TPA2006D1?
Thanks,
Brent
