Dear Sir,
Is there EQ GUI tool can help TAS5508C EQ fine tune ?
ALE 5.2 generated EQ file format is not same as TAS5508C EVM tool.
Many thanks !

Hi, Terry,
For mature devices, we are not developing new tools.
The tools are much better for the newer devices, TAS5548 and TAS5558. I suggest you look into those devices.

Hello Terry:
I'm not sure what you mean by the format is not the same.
ALE 5.2 gives you 20 biquad coefficients but it arranges the biquads in 5 rows with 4 bytes of coefficients per row.
The TAS5508C GUI has only one row with a register number preceeded by "X" and followed by 20 bytes.
If you want to use ALE 5.2 and convert to TAS5508C format, this is the following format:
XYY ZZ ZZ ... ZZ
X - is required to denote a new register
YY - register number
ZZ - byte of data (for the EQ biquad, there are 20 bytes; ALE 5.2 first 4 bytes on the top line go to the first 4 bytes right after the register number in the GUI format, and so on).
Best regards,
Tuan
Hi, Terry,
This might help you:
Use ALE5.2 and save it as cfg file in the below format and use the tool to download to the device.
XYY ZZ ZZ … ZZ
X – must have this character capitalized
YY – the register number
ZZ – the 20 bytes data for the coefficients
