CC8520 Data-side Channel

Dear CC experts,

I am looking at CC8520 for the possibility to use in my new project. In that poject, I need to transmit audio (one way only) to the far end receiver, but in the same time have some sync data to transmit ( say less than 200 bytes per second). In that case, can I use CC8520's "Data side-channel'?

Also is there a development kit available for 8520?

Hi James,

This is fully possible and that is the purpose of the 'data-side channel'.
For development kit, please have a look at:

This contains modules with and without CC2590 range extender and allow relatively easy connection (breakout pins) to any MCU boards of choice to run the required EHIF interace / host controlled operation for data side channel.
