GDE on windows8

I have switched my labtop to a windows8 OS machine, and my GUI as worked with my previous XP machine won't load. I get following error meassage:

Exeption:

System.IO.FileLoadException: Could not load file or assembly 'Syncfusion.Diagram.Windows, Version=4.102.0.999, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=3d67ed1f87d44c89' or one of its dependencies. Strong name validation failed. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x8013141A)
File name: 'Syncfusion.Diagram.Windows, Version=4.102.0.999, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=3d67ed1f87d44c89' ---> System.Security.SecurityException: Strong name validation failed. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x8013141A)
The Zone of the assembly that failed was:
MyComputer

Details:

And from here all I can do is to closel the measage, and ... well, the GUI never started!

If you need information on which GUI version I have, please respond, and I will start my XP machine to find out, Windows8 won't tell...

    Welcome to e2e, and thanks for your interest in our products.

    Sorry that you are having trouble with our GDE in Win8. Quite honestly, we have not spent much time porting our software to Win8.

    Which specific GDE are you working with? PurePath Studios?

    Hi Don,

    Thank you for you welcome and your answer.

    You are right in guessing that I'm working with the PurePath Studio GUI, which I've satisfactorily been using for years now.

    My version is 1.88 build 3.

    My problem to-day is that I've been running the app on my old XP machine, which now seems to be worn out (It's almost 10 years old). Therefore I bought a new laptop - unfortunately with Win8 pre-installed.

    I have tried to run the app in the Win8 socalled XP-mode. It doesn't work either.

    I won't say much about win8 - I don't think it will ever gain the same reputation amongst professionals as XP has, so I fully understand if you don't pay much attention to that OS.

    I'll just keep on using my old XP machine and cross my fingers that it will keep on going - and when it stops I must consider to uninstall Win8 and return to a capable OS like XP if Microsoft by that time hasn't admitted their once again bad trying to please a market section that isn't theirs and .brings out a somewhat professional OS.

    Hi Don,

    It's the TAS3108, I've done a rather unique application using that DSP.

    It controls my so-called MS loudspeaker, which in short is a way to create a soundfield without using the common 5+1 Dolby licensed technology, and with a more natural result, not relying on loudspeaker placement...

    Hi, Guys,

    Sorry, I missed your follow-on, Knud.

    Unfortunately, TAS3108 is NRND, and we are no longer providing tools for it, not to mention tools that work in win8.

    Jan-Willem, what device are you trying to use?

    Sorry too, it's long time since I posted my request...


    Shall I understand your reply as TI are not supporting HW that no longer confirms with SW?

    or to make it clear, SW changes are easy, HW changes are hard work, time consuming and requires a lot of PCB changes, stuffing and all that.

    So, just because I bought a new PC with pre-installed windows8, I have to develop a complete new hardware platform to comply???

    Which processor would you recommend for future development, and please make it safe for future windows releases...

    in the hope that you will be able to give me an answer before I've forgotten I wrote

    We do use the TAS3108 in serveral applications. And would like to continue to work on the DSP files with my new Windows 8 PC...
