Hi everyone,

Plz tell me what is loopback test means and how to do the test for TLV320AIC3106 audio codec interfaced with TPA3118D2 Class-D amplifier in the Orcad schematic itself.

Hi, Venkat,

Loopback is usually used to test the codec performance. I don't know of a lot of people trying to take the output of an amp and feeding that back. It will be quite complicated.

What are you trying to accomplish?

Actually i'm going to implement an audio amplifier, so i want to know how to test the design.

If we take the feedback, then where to connect the feedback signal and what will be the final output.

Hi, Venkat,

I suggest you just analyze the output of the audio amplifier in that case. Use something like an Audio Precision to measure the audio performance.
