TPA6138EVM circuit questions

Hello,

I have some questions about the circuit of the TPA6138EVM evaluation board. Just considering the left - channel:

  • Is the combination of R15/R16/C9 intended to be a LPF with -3dB point around 46kHz? If yes, why is a LPF here a design recommendation? Reduction of power consumption at inaudible frequencies? Stability?
  • What is the purpose of splitting the feedback resistance into two resistors (R15, R16) and feed the input into the centre of them?
  • Is the gain still determined by R15 divided by R6? I.e. R16 has no impact on gain?
  • What is the purpose of C7?
