LM49370 AUDIO CODEC I2S CLOCKS

Hi All, We are planning to use LM49370 Audio Codec in our application. Previously we were using wolfson codec which contains bit_clock and word_select_clock seperatly for Capture and Playback. (TX_BIT_CLK, TX_LR_CLK, RX_BIT_CLK, RX_LR_CLK,I2S_DATA_IN, I2S_DATA_OUT). I2S interface contains total 6 pins.

Now we want PCM interface to Bluetooth module, so we are planning to migrate to LM49370. Here we dindnt find any seperate clocks for Capture and Playback. Ony I2S_CLK and I2S_WS

1. So is it possible to Capture and Playback at same time with LM49370??

2. If possible can we do Capture and Playback at same time with different frequencies usingLM49370??

    Hi, Mahesh,

    This product is being sunset, and we are no longer providing apps support on it.

    Suggest you look at something like TLV320AIC3254 or TLV320AIC3262.

    Thanks for the reply. We looked into TLV320AIC3254 or TLV320AIC3262.

    In our application we need an I2S to PCM bridge, which is present in lm49370. We didn't find any I2S to PCM to I2S bridge in TLV320AIC3254 or TLV320AIC3262.

    1. Can you please suggest an audio codec which contains I2S to PCM bridge which used to support PCM data coming/going to Bluetooth interface.

    2. Is there any I2S/PCM bridge IC available from TI??

    Both the AIC3254 and the AIC3262 support PCM and I2S modes. You can route the I2S data to a PCM port and vice versa. The AIC3262 has multiple audio serial interfaces specifically designed to work with a large variety of digital audio devices (like Bluetooth modules or Baseband chipsets).

    Hi, Can we use LM49350 or LM49352 for routing I2S data to PCM data and vice-versa . Does this codecs are recomended by you guyes.
