Hi, We have desinged a Soundbar also soundbar programmer board based on the Value RDK SB design. now the design is in the process of testing. pls help me in programming the EEPROM and also MSP430. drivers for TAS1020 is not getting installed by following the procedure given in the attachment

The programmer board when connected to the PC will be deteched as a unknown device under Universal Serial Bus Control.

    Hi all,

    Now after installing the drivers by following the attached document2671.RDK-VALUE-SB-TAS1020-Programming (1).pdf

    we are able to detect the device as TI DFU Class driver, by downloading the file (USB-miniEVM0221_441KHZ.BIN) after this, the device is not changing into USB composite device when it is connected to Soundbar. we tried by power cycling the soundbar but no change.

    Also the PCM3070 control software is not detecting the device or any firmware as mentioned in the Value RDK SB user guide. kindly help us to solve this issue.

    Thank you Don,

    We could able to solve that problem by powering up the programmer board through the soundbar board, which we had not done before. now we are able to download the .cfg file to the EEPROM through PCM3070 CS.

    Now in the same way we have to program the MSP430. firstly we are planning to go with the .d43 file which is already available in the product folder. Can you pls recommand me a document where I can find the step by step procedure to download the code into MSP430 using FET430UIF.

    Hi Don, Further to my previous quiries. By following the Value RDK SB User guide we could program the EEPROM and MSP430 succesfull without any errors. But once the programming is completed we are not getting any output in LOL or LOR hence no output at the speakers. Also we tried direct analog bypass through PCM3070 CS even this didn't help us, thried checking the HP out same condition with no output.

    But if we checkt the Register table using control software we could able to read the register value written. Kindly help us regarding how to solve this problem or step by step analysis how to debug the PCM3070.

    Hi Deepak,

    Have you tried using the Purepath Stadio GDE to debug the analog out? It looks like the SW is working. Have you verified the analog input signal at the input pins of PCM3070?

     Hi Paul,

    When I try to run the process flow in the PPS it is asking for the FWID, pls suggest what FWID should be given....

    Also I dont think there is a problem with the software because I'm using the .cfg file provided in the Soundbar product folder. Pls suggest how can I debug the things now..
