CC8531 multiple slaves

Good day

I want to do a desing based on the CC85xxDH-Headset kit . However, I want to input audio into the master, and transmit the same info (only one channel) to multiple slaves.

-Firstly, many slaves can be paired to one master?

-Secondly, can the same single audio channel be transmitted to x number of slaves (x being the number of slaves in response to the first question above), or is channels 1-4 of the master transmitted to channels 1-4 on the slaves?

Does the current PurePath software allow for a configuration as per my above enquiry?

Also, do you have specific documents on this device related to EMI\FCC approvals?

Thanking you in advance for your support on this.

  • Hi Kevin,

You can add up to four slave per master in a PurePath Wireless network.

Same audio can be transmitted to all slaves. We support a multi-cast protocol and each slave will individually acknowledge RF packets and master will re-transmit lost packets to the individual slaves.

The PurePath Wireless configurator allow you to set up this configuration. Please let us know here if you have any issues getting this up and running.

All our reference designs and development kits have been certified for FCC/ETSI regulations and passing is no issues if you choose to copy one of our designs. Worth to mention that our system classifies as DSSS and not frequency hopping per FCC.

    Hope this helps.

    Best regards,

    Kjetil
