We found the output filter inductors on the TAS5630BDKD class D development board to be superior to the custom inductors that we ordered against the TI specification supplied to us earlier this year. We have verified that our 1st prototype that has much higher than expected idle current draw with the custom inductors. Direct replacement of the inductors with the parts from the demo board (same orientation as the prototype) reduces the current to match the device specified idle current draw.
I have sourced some additional Class D amplifier inductors from Coilcraft for evaluation. They have appear to be near identical specifications to the parts on the demo board. Does TI have a coilcraft recommendation?
As time is of the essence on this project we are requesting assistance with the sourcing of the inductors on the demo board. Please help at the earliest convenience.
