PC5122EVM won't connect to PurePath Studio (Home Audio)

I'm trying to begin using the PCM5122EVM-U board, but I can't figure out how to connect to it in PurePath. The software doesn't seem to recognize that it's connected, and I can't find the "Connect" button that is mentioned in the instructions I found.

i am using PurePath Studio (Home Audio) Version 5.95 Build 1 Revision 22035

Component Library Version 6226

Please help!

What menu options does your installation of PPS show under the Build menu?

Yes I followed all instructions for setup. Under the build menu I currently have the following after loading the ROM for the PCM5122 for USB input:

Does PPS throw an error when you click Run?

Please attach a screenshot of the device manager showing sound card devices and USB HID devices.

Yes I get the following error:

And my device manager shows the following:

Basically no new hardware shows up or is discovered by connecting the EVM...

This behavior is consistent across multiple platforms and computers.
