Can app note SLAA117A be applied toward the TAS5760?

Since the output of the TAS5760M is PWM, could the same filter topology presented in app note SLAA117A be used rather than the topology shown in the data sheet, i.e. figure 53 and figure 55. App note SLAA117A shows a capacitor in parallel with the speaker and two smaller capacitors connected to ground.

Hi, Richard,

TAS5760xx uses BD modulation. The filter shown in figs 53 and 55 are BD modulation filters.

SLAA117A refers to AD modulation.

A good reference to review is our later app note on LC filter design. It is http://www.ti.com/lit/an/sloa119a/sloa119a.pdf.

Thank you d2 for the reference app note for the TAS5760xx speaker filter. I was not aware of the differences between AD modulation and BD modulation.
