Using the MIC input for Line in signal

Hi,

My customer is interested to use the part TLV320AIC1110 for a Line IN signal input. The device can support MIC input but not a LINE in directly. Is there any way we can feed the Line in to the Mic input ?

Can a resistor divider be used to bring the Line IN signal to the MIC level.

You can use a divider. What are the exact levels that you use?

Hi, The concern is the quality of the Audio. Is it ok to use a divider circuit to make Line in work as MIC in? Have we done this before ?

The Line in Level will be standard Consumer Audio level.
