LM1875 Theta j-c figure for TO-220 device

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM1875

Hi, I have a query on the ϴj-c value for the LM1875 Audio amplifier in the TO-220 package.

I read on the datasheet that ϴj-c is 3°K/W.  That's ok, but.....

on other devices also packaged in TO-220, the ϴj-c figure is given as 1°K/W.

Now, my application will be a stereo audio amplifier, running on ±25V supplies, driving 6Ω speakers at an ambient room temperature of 20°C.  I'm trying to calculate the thermal resistance of the required heatsink, so I need an accurate ϴj-c figure from the die to the metal tab.

Can anyone help me please?
