TPA3116D2 question

Hello, I have a question about the 3116D2. I would like to run it off of a 12vdc sealed lead acid battery. The impedance of the speaker is 8 ohms. I'm not sure how to calculate the required amp hours for the battery. That's probably not enough information but could someone help me get started? Thank you.

    Hi, Tom,

    Due to the dynamic nature of audio, this is going to be very difficult to calculate an accurate answer.

    But, I'd start by looking at the efficiency at the output power you are planning on running at most times.

    Then, use that efficiency to calculate the total current drawn from the battery at that level.
