I am using a TAS5715 and performing some audio performance tests to qualify our design based on the TI eval board design. I am seeing an odd spike in THD+N around ~6.5k (see attached) and can also hear audible resonance from the part when this problem area is encountered. I'm looking for some suggestion as to what might be going wrong here. I've been toying with various register settings in the part, but not had an impact in this area.

Aaron,

You may have some peaking at high frequency base on your combination of output L, C & R. What speaker load value are you using? If you refer to the datasheet plots starting on pg. 14, you will see this is a typical response of the amplifier.

What audible resonance are you hearing? Is this through a speaker? Can you expand on your setup and method in which you hear audible resonance?
