TPA6100A2 Usage of the BTL Mode

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPA6100A2

Hi,

We have obtained a request from our customers regarding the audio power amp.
Is there audio power amp where the power supply voltage operate in 1.5V?
Although we found TPA6100A2 where the power supply voltage operate in 1.6V as the headphone amp, is it possible to use with the BTL mode?
Could you please advise us about it?

Best Regards,
Kato

  • Hi Kato-san, What is the load and Po requirement? Output DC blocking caps acceptable? If the input signals are out of phase, BTL mode maybe possible but need to consider the OC limit and output offset voltage. reg, Paul.
  • Hi Paul-san,

Thank you for your reply me even though you are busy.
We believe that our customers need the speaker load of 8Ω or 16Ω, use dc-coupling.
But we have not obtained information of output power from our customers.
When we use TPA6100A2 with BTL mode(the load of 8Ω and 16Ω, power supply voltage of 1.6V and 3.6V),
could you please tell us the maximum continuous output power?
In addition, we could not find the description in the data sheet regarding the current threshold of the short circuit protection.
Could you please tell us about it?

    Best Regards,
    Kato
