Using the CC8530 EHIF control in host mode

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC8530

Hi,

We have some dificulty to use the host mode with the CC8530.

Is there a specific algorithm with a timing to respect to be sure that the connection between host and slave is established and correct ?

What we observe here is that some minor changes in the control software gives us goog or bad results. We haven't found logic between the differents results to validate a solution.

The same software applicated on two similar cards can give a good working solution or not.

With these cards, when the link is estabished, there is no problem and the transmission is always good. That's for the audio link and the DSC link.

Our problem is to establish the connection. With the first board the connection is good at each attempt. With the second board and the same software, we do not succeed to take the line and need to retry to have a good connection.

We think we can have timing issue but we don't find it. We haven't found anything in the data sheet.

Thank for your help

Best regards

Bernard

  • Hi Bernard,

Are you sure that the CC85xx on the first and the second board are flashed with the same image (using PPW Configurator)?

Do you run host-controlled mode both at the master and the slave side?

Have you looked at the ehif example code: http://www.ti.com/litv/zip/swra369a The procedure is described there.

If you still have problems after checking the example code please let me know and we can dig further into it.

    Best regards,

    Kristoffer
