hi there,

I have a customer who is evaluating the TPA3131D2

below is their problem:

We were evaluating
speaker amp TPA3131D2 and notice output waveform distortion at Vin = 6V (get
worse with lower Vin).

I've attached waveform with Vin=7.4V as well (sine wave looks OK) since
datasheet always specs test condition for Vin to be 7.4V. Any
explanation?

BTW, PLIMIT was disabled (set to GVDD).

The even reduce the signal level @ 1Khz but signal is still distored.

Hi, Adam,

This amp is intended to be used in BTL model ONLY.

Please ask them to re-measure in BTL mode, and I think they will find it is ok.

Hi, Adam,

The oscilloscope plot says that it was measured single-ended. Please ask them to re-measure it using the Ch1-Ch2 setting of their scope to get a differential (or BTL) measurement, and I think the waveform will be good.
