Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TLV320AIC3254

I'm looking for audio amplifier reference design relating to analog guitar effect pedals. I didn't see any on the TI website so but wanted to make sure that there wasn't any other material that would be helpful in the design process. I know most analog effect pedals are discreet op amps and BJTs. Wanted to check to see if TI had any collateral on it.

Nope, AFAIK, we don't have any analog guitar effects info...

At one time, we did have some stuff running on the miniDSP (TLV320AIC3254), but I'm not sure where that info is. It also requires like an MSP430 to boot the TLV320AIC3254, so it complicates the design if the goal is a very simple guitar effects pedal.

Hi David,

I am considering publishing some TI Precision Designs involving analog instrument effects this year. Are there any effects of particular interest to your customer, such as overdrive, fuzz, chorus, or delay? This would help me better gauge what would be more useful to the market.

Ian, thanks for the response. At this point in time, I think they are just open to any kind of effect. They do have some IP involved but I'm sure they do not want to disclose that info yet.
