hi there,

I have a customer who needs to use TLV320ADC3101 but they want to know if this chip can interface to a PDM digital microphone?

It is not stated in the datasheet.

Please advise.

Hi Adam,

Yes, the digital microphone support mentioned in the datasheet is for PDM digital microphone.

Thank you for replying.

From the block diagram in the datasheet, indeed it will support PDM.

But can you point to me where in the datasheet where is says that the ADC does support PDM for digital mic input.

I am sorry, i cannot locate it.

Customer need documentation proof.

Hi Adam,

Everywhere in the datasheet that it says Digital Mic it should say PDM Digital Mic. As far as I know, this is the only format available for digital mic. This is the only format supported by the ADC3101.
