From the TAS1020B data sheet page A-31, the description of CPTCNF3 includes the following bit defintions:
bit 0 is CSYNCD, CSYNC direction, and bit 1 is CSCLKD, CSCLK direction. According to the description field, clearing these bits makes these signals outputs and setting them makes these signals inputs.
However, according to page 1-7, section 1.9, footnote 3 indicates that "the CSYNC and CSCLK signals can be programmed as either an input or an output in the general-purpose mode."
Does this mean that when operating the CODEC port in one of the I2S modes (I care about mode 4), these two signals are always outputs and the bits in CPTCNF3 are not relevant?
