Mass production with purepath Applications

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC8520, CC8530, PUREPATH-WL-CMD

 Hello.

 This is Ketec in Korea.

I'm finished Wireless MIC project with your Purepath Application and going to product it.

 (1 Master with CC8530 and 4 Slaves with CC8520)

So i ask you how can i program CC8520, CC8530 in mass production?

Is there any solutions for this?

It's too slow to program 1K master and slave sets with purepath wireless configurator.

 Help me.

 Bye.

  • Hi, Ketec:

    안녕하세요?

How about reserve test points on your PCBA and make some programming jig.

But you may need several CC debugers and PCs.. ^_^!

Seriously, I'm also considering about how to programming the chips when mass production.

If there are some GANG programmer for the chip, DO remember to share me. ^_^

    Regards,

    Ke

  • Hi,

You can use the PurePath Wireless Commander (http://www.ti.com/tool/purepath-wl-cmd) or the command line flash programmer that can be found in the configurator install path:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Texas Instruments\PurePath Wireless Configurator\bin

WIth multiple CC debuggers is one option.

The other option is to use a gang programmer from Elprotronic:
    http://www.elprotronic.com/gangproCC.html

    Hope this helps.

    Best regards,

    Kjetil

  •  Hi Kjetil and thanks for your answer.

But i still have some questions.

I've already installed CC Commander and be used to test RF performance.

However i don't know how it can be used for mass production.

Do i need multiple CC Debuggers to program multiple master or slave sets to using CC Commander or the command line flash programmer  which you recommend?

Using gang programmer is only way to program multiple sets at once?

     Waiting your answer.

     Best regards.

If you have multiple CC debuggers you can write a script in the Commander tool that program each CC debugger (timeslotted). This will speed up the process some, but not significantly.

If you need to program multiple sets at once you will need to use a gang programmer.
