AIC3256 supports which TI DSP Algortithms

Hi All,

Posting my query for the device selection for our own customized board based on OMAPL138 soc, which has integrated AIC3256 code chip for various functionality such as:-

1) Active Noise Reduction (ANR)

2) Passive Noise Reduction (PNR)

3) Echo Cancellation (EC)

4) Echo Suppression (ES)

5) VAD, etc

I can get the details from the data-sheet of AIC3256 supporting EC and ANR, but under the heading Advanced DSP algorithms, how many things are covered.

Like VAD, if supported then its parameters range, etc.

As we are in the phase of selecting device with at-least above mentioned functionalities.

So can you guys help us with some features comparison among devices (like AIC3253, AIC3254, AIC3262, AIC3263, AIC3268 etc) which covers our requirement and which is better and why?

Help will be much appreciated.

    Hi Risabh,

    We no longer support echo cancellation or noise cancellation for miniDSP devices. The only components available are the ones within PurePath Studio.

    What do you mean by this that you no longer support echo cancellation or noise cancellation for minidsp devices.

    Components mentioned in PurePath under TI DSP Algorithms  supports all the frameworks families mentioned in it??

    Hi Rishabh,

    AIC3253 - similar to AIC3254 but with no lineout, no analog in. Same miniDSP as AIC3254.

    AIC3254

    AIC3262 - newer DSP than AIC3254.

    AIC3263 - simiilar to AIC3262 with 4 digital mics.

    AIC3268 - similar to AIC3263 but in QFN package.
