Hi, Eli,
It is 1.29W per channel. Our power ratings are always per channel.

Hi,Eli,
I tested on EVM:
When SPLVDD=SPRVDD=5V,R=8ohms+33UH load, output power=1W/ch, the current of SPLVDD and SPRVDD=0.548A.
Please let me know if you have some questions.
Thanks,

Hi Flora,
1.Are there any power supply sequencing requirements (SPVDD = 5V, AVDD=IOVDD=HPVDD=3.3V, DVDD=1.8V)?
First digital vdd, then AVDD, then HPVDD or SPVDD. Here is an note talk about the power sequence, please read this. http://www.ti.com/lit/an/slaa492a/slaa492a.pdf
2.What is the maximum current consumption for DVDD?
It depends on the situation, could you see AIC3106,page 10,altough it's not the sam part, but there is a table can give you an idea about the scale of power consumption.
3.I have only 3.3V supply, please recommend the cheapest solution for generating the required 1.8V supply for DVDD.
DC/DC or LDO is OK.For detail parts, could you contact your local support for the price?
4.If VOL/MICDET pin is not used, how should it be connected (pulled high/low, open…)?
Connect it to GND.
5.I need some assistance with microphone usage. I want to use a simple low-cost, on-board microphone; I can’t use a digital microphone since the digital interface will be used for communicating with a host.
We don't have any special requirement for MIC,for MIC connect, you should follow the spec of MIC.Usually it can connect as sigle end or different, both of them are OK for codec.
5.1What is the purpose and difference between the three MIC1xx inputs?
Just for different usecase:eg,Two signle end MIC conncetct, please use MIC1RP and MIC1LP; One signel end MIC(MIC1RP),one stereo MIC(MIC1LM and MIC1LP).If you don't need so many MIC,the left can be line in.
Thanks,

Hi,Eli,
1.Both.
2.if you want to calculate it,you need to know current consumption of everypart,eg digital core,PLL... . Could you explain why you want to know the maxmin current of DVDD, you want to know the power consumption of CODEC?
There is a note talk about the power consumption of AIC3110.

Hi Flora,
Customer need to know the power consumption for each of the CODEC power supply rails to do a power supply and thermal design.
I have been focusing on SPVDD so far because it seems to have highest current consumption and therefore the highest impact.
Audio amplifiers such as TPA2012D2 and TPA2028D1 give detailed power and current consumption information, I would expect the same information for the TLV320AIC3110.
See customer inserted feedback:

[Rafi ] My question is about TLV320AIC3110. The TLV320AIC32x4 referenced in the reply above seems to have a completely different internal power supply scheme, so the answer seems irrelevant.

[Rafi ] Can I assume that the 1.8V current consumption will be < 20mA. I need a maximum value in order to select the proper LDO.

[Rafi ] How should unused MIC inputs be connected (GND, open, etc.)?
Hi,Eli
1.Power up sequence:
Kindly see this post.
it's almost the same, the only difference is AIC3254 has LDO.
2.Current consumption for DVDD
Kindly see this app note,it shows the current of DVDD about some use case.Roughly,I think 20mA is enough.

3.unused MIC inputs: AC couple to GND.

Hi Flora,
Can you advise your e-mail address?
Thanks
Eli
Hi,Eli,
For power up sequence:
IOVDD comes first, then AVDD then DVDD,then SPVDD, ensure DVDD doesn't come on before IOVDD and that AVDD > DVDD.
AIC3254 don't have SPVDD but has HPVDD,page 3 of TLV320AIC32x4 Power Supply Sequencing mentioned :
Parameter tD-L allows AVDD to be stable before HPVDD is provided, which prevents power-on pop on the
headphone amplifiers. it the same why SPVDD comes out the last.
Any way,the note of AIC325X power up sequence can give you an idea about power up sequence, for the power up sequence ,please follow the post.
Please let me know if you have somes questions.
Thanks,
Flora Wang

Hi,Eli,
I am afraid this note is what we have about the power consumption of AIC3110.

it's just update on this month, all the data is tested this month and can work for you.
