About FAULT of TPA3111D1-Q1

FAULTz can be triggered with Thermal SD, DC protection, and Over Current. When FAULTz is tied to SDz, the device is set to auto-recovery mode for thermal and OC faults. The device will recover to normal operation when the fault condition is removed. However, DC protection will require power supply recycle to clear the fault.

Short circuit protection (or over current) occurs when the output current is approximately over 4.5A. You should be able to observe the current with a current probe if the FAULTz is due to over current fault.

Is the customer experiencing fault issues? Can you please provide more details such as schematic and waveforms scope captures?

Fault has not actually occurred.
The output noise from other equipment appeared in the output of TPA3111D1.
It needed to be investigated whether this would have a bad influence.
For this reason, this question was carried out.

Since it turned out that a noise enters in the exteriors, the influence was checked.
It is satisfactory if TPA3111D1-Q1 can bear this noise.
However, a measure is considered when it cannot bear.
