Digital input PORTA/B sync on SRC4392

Quick question:

I have an external I2S digital source (BCLK, WCLK, DATA) connected to the PORTB input. I am trying to redirect this data to the SRC, and then SRC ouput to the DIT but I can't manage to make it work.

Do the digital inputs PORTA and PORTB have to be synchronized with the MCLK when configured as inputs?
