TLV320DAC3101 Difference Between Specification and Measurement

Hi,

The graph of "the analog gain vs the analog volume control" which was evaluated via I2S interface is shown as below.
The difference between the specification and the measurement increased when settings under -60dB as the analog gain, the difference of approximately 13dB occurred at the maximum.
Could you please tell us this reason that the analog gain is difference between the specification and the measurement?
In addition, could you please tell us the measuremnet method which you recommended regarding the anlaog gain?

Hi, Kato-san,

This plot is for typical performance only. We don't guarantee it.

And, at those levels, the signal is VERY small, so it is very easy for measurement issues to come into play.

Thank you for your information.
We have one quesiton.
Could you please give us the reason that why the analog gain which 116[dec] is set is smaller than the mute mode(the analog volume control=117[dec] to 127[dec])?
Is it due to the topology of the circuitry?

Hi, Kato-san,

I think the signal is so small at that point that measurement is difficult and small variations in the IC make it difficult to measure.
