Hi, I have a problem using a TAS5715. The schematic is the same as the EVM board but the I2C not responding.

I have checked the initialization sequence and power supply, everything seems to be ok.

Please, could you suggest me a solution?

Hi, Igor,

Do you have pull-up resistors on the I2C bus? What value?

What address are you using? Pin 14 allows you to select one of two I2C addresses.

Thank you for your reply.

Yes I have two 4,7k resistors on SCL and SDA.

The board works with 2 TAS5715 amplifiers, the first one has 0x54 adress (Pin 14 direct pulled up to 3.3V) and the second one 0x56 (Pin 14 pulled down to gnd).

Hello Igor,

Your I2C signal seems ok. Below is a list of things to try:

Increase the time between the falling edge of SCL to the changing edge of SDA (hold time) to 1us to compensate for mismatch in board parasitics.
Change the SDA and SCL pull up resistors to 2k
Take a working TAS5715 EVM setup and run it using the I2C signal from your board. You need to connect SCL, SDA and GND from your board to the EVM.
Try replacing the TAS5715 device on your board, if the EVM works with the I2C signal from your board.
