TLV320DAC3100 I2C does not ack on address 0x30

Hi,

I am trying to address the DAC3100 but all I get is a NACK. How do I verify that the chip is up and operational and in a good state beyond checking all the power supplies and the reset line ?

Please see attached the I2C SDA and SCL lines as captured on a scope showing rise times well within spec of standard mode. The clock is coming in at 96Khz short of 100Khz.

IOVDD and DVDD is at 1.8V

HPVDD and AVDD is at 3.3V

SPKVDD is at 4.7V

Hi, Ron,

Please review the section in the d/s titled, "5.7.3 Control Interface." This explains how the I2C bus of this device operates.

Hi Don,

I'm not sure what you were trying to help with by pointing me to the section but I have read it a million times and I am conforming to it. Can you please take a look at the scope shot I posted to see what is wrong with the I2C transaction that wouldn't allow the chip to ack the transaction ? Thanks
