Guys,
I want to convert digital I2S input to Analog RCA audio. So to do this I have ordered an PCM5142 EVM kit to play around with it..
Is SRC4392 itself is an Receiver and DAC ? or I need an reciever like DIR 9001 or CS8416 ?

Hello,
The SRC4392 is a Sample Rate Converter taking in a verity of digital sources.
Page 29 in the datasheet HERE shows the bock diagram functionality of the part.

Thank You Matt for the reply.
My aim is to receive an Digital optical/co axial input and convert to RC Analog audio.
So this process requires an digital audio receiver and then an sample rate converter or DAC.
Do I only require SRC4392 or both SRC and PC5142 ?
The PCM5142 DAC takes I2S digital audio and converts it into analog audio.
If you want to take digital optical audio and convert it into analog, you will need a receiver/transceiver that can convert the optical into I2s and then you can interface with the DAC.
HERE is an app note on the PCM9211 with optical interface.
Our PCM1865 EVM also uses the PCM9211 transceiver to convert optical into I2S digital audio.
See PCM1865 EVM HERE for schmatics and notes.
Keep in mind that this EVM is not at DAC it is just using the PCM9211 for the optical to I2S interface.
