TAS5760M Difference of Function and Performance Between 256fs and 512fs

Hi,

Are there any differences of the function and the performance although TAS5760M is supported 256fs and 512fs as the MCLK frequencies?
For example, if the fs is 48kHz, 256fs is 12.288MHz and 512fs is 24.576MHz.
Could you please tell us them if there is the differences?

Hi Kato,

The functionality of the part at higher sample rates does not change. As for performance, higher sampler rates allow for finer granularity which can improve THD slightly. It will as improve the accuracy of transient spikes in the audio signals due to the ability to track large dV/dt changes better by getting more samples for the same unit of time.

I would like to know the differences between 256fs and 512fs although I seem that you mentioned regarding the sampling rate.

Hi Kato-san,

256*fs vs 512*fs has no performance benefits to my understanding. It simply allows for a range many differnt clocks can work together.
