thanks for the prompt reply. If I understand right you meant the PCB antenna while I meant the external SMA one that comes with the eval set. Any chance for hinting where to buy this external antenna installed in the SMA connector ?

Ah, I see. It is a Pulse Electronics W1010 antenna. Just google it and you will find the specs :-)

It is a standard 1/4-wave dipole and will thus have a very omnidirectional radiation pattern. If you need more antenna gain you can use a more directional antenna. 

That's a different one as I looked up in Digikey. I mean the one tha is inside the devielopment kit package. It seems to worj better than others that I tried.

That is our old kit antenna. I do not remember the part number of that one. The Pulse antenna should be equal or better.

it is not so old if it was in a kit bought at Farnell this Tuesday ... :)
Anyway, works prettty well and has the advantage over the 1010 that it is significantly shorter. Any chance you could look up in the archives ? I'll be in your debt..
