PurePath Wireless Configurator doesn't fully support AIC Script?

am I missing something or does the PurePath Wireless Configurator not support the ">" continuation character for AIC scripts? Specifically for doing Audio Device Customization - I'm trying to get some AIC3254 miniDSP code (output from PurePath Studio) loaded and the .cfg file generated by GDE has > all over the place (also, makes for smaller size I would guess?)

OK thanks Kjetil. IMO this should be filed internally as a bug. The tool should fully support the AIC scripting language.

As it is now, you have output of GDE incompatible with input to WCFG. Will you file this as a bug please?

Hi Marc,

The team has been made aware but unsure if there are any concrete plans to fix this.
I used to have a Phyton script for this, but been a while and could not locate it right now. I'll post it here I can find it.

Also in WCFG it's a little unclear how the 'w' command works... can you write multiple bytes via 'w AA RR DD DD DD DD' etc? if so how many bytes on a line?

I wrote a python script already, I'll post it.

Hi Marc,

Yes you can write multiple bytes, but do not remember how many per line and will try to get that number for you. You want to maximize this to reduce the 'w AA RR' overhead and fit as must as possible.

And the answer is 'RR + DD' can be 255 bytes maximum.

Hi Kjetil thanks for the info. Exactly, this is how to compress the size.

So just to be crystal clear, the format is auto-incrementing, so I have only the first register address, and not alternating register and data?

In other words, format is:

w RR DD DD DD ...

and NOT

w RR DD RR DD or w RR RR RR DD DD DD?

because the comment in the WCFG (w RR ... DD ... ) is mighty confusing.

And second followup: there's a max of 254 DD bytes after the RR? So the WCFG GUI doesn't have a line length limit of 255 bytes (since each actual data byte takes 3 characters (two plus space) for input?

I'll rewrite my python script to collect these bytes.
