Can we expect >110dB dynamic range using the PCM4201?

Typical dynamic performance of the PCM4201 is characterized in the datasheet as 112dB (Double speed fs=96KHz over 22Hz - 40KHz.

Under what conditions would the performance degrade to 105 shown as minimum (datasheet page 4)? 

The intended design requirements are for an absolute minimum of 110dB dynamic range at 25C, Vcc @ 5V, VDD @ either 1.8V or 3.3V.  Is it conceivable to expect 110dB (or greater) under these conditions within batch/process variations?

    The minimum is based upon statistical analysis of a sample of devices characterized during device qualification, including results taken over temperature and on multiple production test systems.

    Although it is possible, It is not reasonable to expect typical performance for all devices, as we do not guarantee typical performance. If the customer requires 110dB absolute minimum, then they will need to select an audio ADC that meets this requirement. Reviewing our product catalog, the PCM4202 meets the 110dB minimum requirement.

  • I am currently trying to convert a single ended 1Khz 1Vpp sine  with an -85dB THD using the PCM4201. After processing the digital signal, I am only able to  get  about -60dB THD. 

     I used the single ended to differential circuit suggested by the PCM4201 data sheet. 

    Using an external audio analyzer, it appears that the source of the extra signal distortion happens just at the differential inputs of the PCM4201. The analyzer's sine signal degrades to -40dB simply by tapping into the input pins. Is there anything i am doing wrong in my setup? (drawings attached)
