HI,

I have been designing an audio board using DAC TLV320dac3120. My design demands support for 8 bit resolution (data width). But i could find programmable data width option only from 16 bit width. Kindly provide me details on how to use the device for 8bit resolution support.

A prompt response would be very much helpful.

You can use 8-bit resolution by padding the 8 LSBs of a 16-bit word with zero. You will have to transfer at least 16-bits per channel via the digital audio interface (the word width is selectable: 16, 20, 24 or 32 bits. But not 8-bits.).
