Frequnecy response <40KHz DAC

Hi team,

Does TI have audio DAC which can support until 40KHz freq response? Almost datasheet says until 20KHz. 192KHz sampling freq DAC looks possile but no response graph on the datasheet.

    Hi Max,

    Most of our devices should work up to 40KHz as long as your sampling rate is at least twice your maximum frequency or 96KHz and above. However, performance at this range is not guaranteed since it is not tested, so use at your own risk.

    The digital end should not have an issue unless you hit timing violations. On the analog side, eventually there will be some HF pole that will cause roll off.

    With that being said, the PCM5142 would be a good candidate if you want a faster sampling rate than 96KHz for lower THD at 40KHz. The PCM5142 has a maximum sampling rate of 384KHz.
