PCM2906C: Output Format of the /SSPND Pin

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: PCM2906C

We are using the PCM2906C /SSPND (Pin 28) to control the mute of an Audio Power Amplifier and would like to confirm the output format of this Pin. We have assumed a Push-Pull Output format connected between the GND (Pin 26) and VDDI (Pin 27) rails - could you please confirm whether this is the case? Thank you for your assistance!

  • Hi Colin, I don't understand what exactly do you want know. /SSPND is powered from VDDI. It has 3.3V logic outputs. According to datasheet output low level is maximally 0.5V and High level is minimally 2.8V. Maximum current of the output is 2mA for both Low and High levels. On the output is low level when USB bus is in suspend mode and high level when bus is in operational mode.

  • Hi Pavel,

Thank you for the confirmation on the structure of the /SSPND output - this has effectively answered my query.

    Best regards, Colin
