TPA3130D2 too powerful?

Question from green hand, yes.

I plan to drive a pair of 1w 8ohm speaker with TPA3130, whose output power capacity is 15w seemingly too powerful. Will this amp damage the speaker? Amp power supply is regulated 5v.

BTW, could someone provide an example of output filters in this matching case to refer? There are a couple of examples but I don't have much idea how the rcl values should change as the speaker is I only 1w

    Hi Yuchen, 

    Simple question, why do you want to use this part ? What are the specification that you are looking for ? 

    I am asking because you can find a part more suitable for driving a 1 W speaker..
