Why not Class D for Headphone amplifier?

Hello,

Now, I try to make some ultra low powered hands-free device.

So, I need an very efficient audio amplifier for headphone.

But, Ti only provide Class AB or G headphone amplifier.

At this point, I have some questions.

I know that Class D, switching amplifier, has superb efficiency than linear amplifiers.

However, your company does not manufacture Class D for arbitrary headphones.

Surely, EMI problem will occur, but I think EMI problem can be solved by enough off-chip low pass filter.

I guess there are some other reasons I pass over.

Are there any critical issues make Class D topology unsuitable for headphone amplifier?

Thanks and regards

J.H.Lee
