Faultz pin can sink up to 5mA of current as long as it still satisfies the logic H and L spec. There is a built in ~14mS delay during initial power on to ensure that the input caps are fully charged up before the start of output PWM. This is done to prevent pop due to input difference. This device has excellent pop performance. I'd suggest ordering an EVM and try it out in your system with your speakers.

If i need a longer delay at startup, i'd held down SDZ for the time i need?

Regarding the power-off-pop, i would understand, that FAULTZ will mute the output when reaching minimum supply voltage (4V5), so where does the "pop" comes from? My idea is to held SDZ at somehwhat higher than VHmin (2V0) at my desired minimum working voltage. Power-on-delay is then stretched via an RC-constant, while power off is done via antireverse-diode.
