Headphone amplifier (LME49870 datasheet)

Poor drafting / editing ?

I can't see how applying +15VDC to the input of the inverting buffer amplifier circuit below will be, or do, any good for audio applications...(in LME49870 op amp datasheet, Figure 114, page 29).

That's GOT to be a "typo". I'm sure the 15V line should extend down to the IC, like the lower -15VDC line does. It should NOT be connected to the NFB line. IMHO. ;)

Agreed. Now, how do we get the good folks at T.I. notice and correct their datasheet? I could not find a place on their website where such things could be reported. Best,

Hi, Attila,

There is a link at the bottom of every page of most of our data sheets to submit errors.

We work in a batch process mode, so this error may not get fixed for some time until this data sheet comes up in the queue.

I have already added this error to our system, so no reason to report it unless you really want to.

Thanks. Now, I see it...
If I may, what's the story behind LME49870 actually? The electrical specs make it look like a carbon copy of LME49710, well, almost (differences being in the power supply, max voltage and quiescent current)...

Hi, ARB,

You've highlighted the differences! the LME49870 can run off a higher supply voltage, giving you better SNR.
