PCM2904/1 spacebar control

Hi,

Customer design is using Windows 7.  Would the PCM2904 or 1 be able to detect keyboard spacebar press as well as volume control?

    Hi Belenie,

    The PCM2904 will identify itself as an Audio class device and therefore operate as a windows USB Audio class device would.

    Hi Belenie,

    Part of PCM2904 is identified by windows like "HID" device like keyboard with three buttons Mute, Volume up and Volume down. When you push the button that Operating system receive key status and make some action like volume control. Windows can sent volume change command back to the PCM2904 on the different control channel.

    If you want to change volume by press space, that it may be possible but it completely rely on used software and operating system. PCM2904 change volume when it receive command from computer.
