No audio or errors TAS5727

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TAS5727

Hi

I am having problems getting audio from TAS5727.

SDin = audio data

LRclock = 44.1 KHZ

Sclk = 2.1 Mhz

Sclk linked to Mclk

I send over I2c

0x1B,0x00 Trim

0x00,0x60 Control 1, 44.1/48-kHz sample rate, MCLK frequency = 64 × fS

0x04,0x05 I2S Default

0x05,0x02 Control 2, Fault pin = output

0x07,0x00,0x00 Master Volume

I read 0x02 error reg = 0x00, no error

The TAS5727 is outputting a square wave, The fault pin is showing no fault,

Please help

  • Hello John,

    Can you please describe where are you measuring the output signal?, perhaps the square wave you mention is the PWM output of the device. As a Class D amplifier, this device requires a LC filter before the speaker.

    About the clock rates, I recommend you to take a look to this wiki page, there is an explanation of the possible clock combinations for the TAS57xx devices. 2.1MHz is not recommended for MCLK at 44.1KHz sample rate.
