Looking for a PCM186x linux driver.

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: PCM1865

Hi,TIer.

Now we use PCM1865 in our new project. And we use PCM1865 as a 4 channel audio adc with dm8168 through TDM interface.

But there is not a linux driver or reference driver code.

Does TI have a PCM1865 linux driver?

Expecting for it.

  • Hi SuitJune,

We do not currently have Linux drivers for the PCM186X series.

You can get the I2C register settings and transactions from the GUI using the I2C logging and register dump feature. An application note is available giving an example of how to use the register dump with an MSP430 here: www.ti.com/.../slaa605a.pdf One exception to this is currently the mixer coefficients are not being output correctly by the register dump, and we hope to have that fixed soon. There is an example of how to write to the mixer coefficients on page 107 of the data sheet.
