Sample rate conversion

Hi,

We need a glue logic to connect two PCM devices which will be operating on different sampling frequencies (bit clock is fixed as 2.048Mhz and data width is 16bit). Audio format is in PCM mode, that means single clock width pulse as frame sync. Master side can operate on 16Khz sampling rate and slave side can work on 8Khz. Two directional data transfer is required. Below picture gives an idea about the connections.

Sampling rate converter need to change audio from 16Khz sampling to 8Khz and reverse.

We are even OK to have PCM to I2S bridge scheme with sampling conversion, Master side can operate in PCM mode and Slave side can operation in I2S or if this can be achieved through a two PCM channel Audio codec.

Can you please suggest any suitable part which can serve this purpose?
