Could we do noise gate inside PCM1865 using internal DSP?

HI,TIer. Now we want to use a FOUR channel audio adc pcm1865.

For a similar ic,cirrus logic's cs53l30 have the noise gate feature by its internal DSP. For there is also a DSP inside the pcm1865, could we do noise gate inside PCM1865 by writing coefficients to DSP?

    Hi SuitJune,

    So the PCM1865 has the energy sense feature which allows the PCM1865 to be in a sleep mode where the main ADC are off and the secondary ADC is waiting for the signal to cross a configurable threshold to turn the main ADCs on to begin processing the audio. This however does not have a function to stop audio output on signal level alone.

    Signal gating can be done on other parts we have with fully programmable miniDSPs in the such as the TLV320AICXXXX parts, or possible the PCM5XXX parts, if that will fit your application.
