PCM2906C / PCM2903C

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: PCM2903C, PCM2906C

Dear Sir

I would like to design PCM290XC for the USB codec AMP

I refer to PCM2903C and PCM2906C is the same function ,just one different is "Bus powered"

PCM2903C bus powered is 100mA

PCM2906C bus powered is 500mA

I don't understand what's that means ,which one solution is better for me to use?

Thanks

  • HI Kai,

Bus powered means that it would power itself from the USB 5V supply and will let the PC know that it is bus powered in its descriptors. And when it says self powered that it state in its descriptors that it is self powered and needs a 3.3V supply to the part.
